Abstract: Micromorphological studies using SEM were helped in comparing four species of the genus Gymnema viz.Gymnema sylvestre (Retz.) Schult,Gymnema mohanramii Karthik & Moorthy, Gymnema elegans Wight & Arn.,Gymnema latifolium Wall. ex Wight and formulation of new key method for identification.
