Abstract: Phytochemical investigation of the bark of Betula megrelica Sosn. grown in Georgia led to the isolation and identification of eleven biologically active compounds from ethanol extract. Their structures were determined by NMR, MS, UV and IR methods. The crude extract and enriched fractions from the bark of B. megrelica, were studied in vitro experiments to reveal their anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and anti-cancer activities.
