Author(s): Muaaz Alajlani
Abstract: Fungal infections pose a significant global health burden, affecting millions of individuals each year. Conventional antifungal therapies often suffer from limitations such as drug resistance and adverse side effects. As a result, researchers have turned their attention to natural remedies, particularly medicinal plants, in search of novel antifungal agents. This review article aims to provide an up-to-date and detailed examination of the antifungal properties of various medicinal plants, exploring their active compounds, mechanisms of action, and potential applications in combating fungal infections.
