Abstract: Euphorbia prostrata (Euphorbiaceae),
an annual herb, used traditionally for many ailments like haemorrhoids, analgesic, hypolipidemic, antidiabetic, antidirroheal, antiasthmatic etc and it is also used as snake bite remedy. We have formulated non-toxic mouthwash by utilizing a solubilization technique with three different concentrations of methanolic extract of

3 formulation.
The methanolic extract of the whole plant were evaluated for the formulation of mouthwash which is expected to work for the antibacterial action and prevent bad breath. Our recent studies have confirmed that the mechanical and chemical cleansing efficacy of this mouthwash are equal and at times greater than that of the toothbrush and it provides a review of the various therapeutic effects on oral health, which will help to explicate the significance and importance of this home-grown oral hygiene tool.
