Abstract: Bronchial asthma, a chronic respiratory disorder, significantly impacts quality of life and carries substantial morbidity and mortality. In Ayurveda, it is correlated with Tamaka Shwasa, one of five Shwasa roga. This case study details the management of a 35-year-old female patient diagnosed with Bronchial asthma through Ayurvedic treatments, primarily Vamana Karma. The therapeutic approach involved Deepana-Pachana, Snehapana, Sarvanga Abhyanga Swedhana, followed by Vamana Karma and Samsarjana Karma. The patient exhibited significant improvement in both subjective and objective parameters. Vamana Karma effectively reversed the underlying Ayurvedic pathology of Kapha-Vata imbalance and remission. This case underscores the potential of Vamana Karma as a safe and effective alternative in the management of Bronchial asthma. However, further studies with larger sample sizes and different methodologies are required to validate these findings and establish broader applications.
